Hi John R.,
On the type IX FO filters were installed fwd part of the E/R above the compressed air bottles used to start the engines. They are the filter type, not the Westfalia centrifuge type commonli used nowadays. Do not remember the location on the type VII. In line Lube Oil filters were also used both on the engines as well as the supply line from the lube oil reserve tank, located under floor grating of central passage between the engines. Rgds, RB
