The reason I knew that much about a Hypsometer is research I've done after a recent antique store purchase. I bought a bag of thermometers, one of which had the date 1941 in it, along with a Swasticka. A note in the bag said that it was German and was used in a Hypsometer in a U-boat.
If anyone knows any more about these, I would appreciate a message on the board or at "Brewers@ftc-i.net". I will be uploading photos in a day or two at the u-boat Yahoo Group list.
