Hi Robert,
Please go back a couple pages in this forum to my posting of 11/23/00-05:11 under the heading \"U869 Overhead Tank in E/R\". Towards the end of this thread filters are mentioned.
Bear in mind, the L.I. constantly was adjusting fuel and water quantities in the various tanks as all other consumables incl. torps were deplenished during a patrol. Also emulsification not much of a problem as long as the D/P tanks were relatively full of fuel. With small amount of water on bottom of tank emulsified layer very limited. Rgds, RB
