The 650 lb. aerial depth charge used by the USN was said to have a lethal radius of 29,5 ft. I\'m not sure about the the 250 lb. (RAF) or 325 lb. (USN) charges, probably no more than 20-25 ft. I understand that Torpex increased the lethal radius by up to 50%. Retro-bombs, such as those used by VP-63 in the Straits of Gibraltar had small warheads, but those exploded on contact and were quite effective.
