Kris,

The Soviet\'s did capture several of the yards which where producing type XXI and
type XXIII.They were able to complete several of the subs still on the slipway and they also received several from the western allies after the war.The russian
Whiskey and Zulu classes were direct descendents of the type XXI and the \"M\" class costal sub was influenced by the type XXIII.
