Russian submarines cloned from German blueprints are, at present, dismantled at Porto Nogaro scrapping yard (Italy, North Adriatic sea) along with much other Soviet Navy hardware. The recovered steel, good indeed but sometime a little radioactive, is (hopefully only) used in reinforced concrete, worldwide.
