Evacuate & blowing valves on Type VII

Hello:

I´ve got a few more questions about type VII U-Boats:

- Where were exactly situated the evacuate valves in a type VII U-Boat ?. I suppose they were at the Zentrale, but where exactly ?.

- Where were situated the valves controlling the blowing of the diferent ballast?,

- Why where they painted on red or green, and why were they of different sizes ?.

- What were the two red wheels at the Zentrale above the circular hatch beside the main rudder ?. In Das Boot there is a sailor spinning them when diving.
