Hello all:
Can anyone provide me with the height, width and breadth of this battery cell and
also its designation? Is it for a 124-cell 27 MAK 740 (6940 AH) or a 124-cell 27 MAK 800 (9160 Ah) battery? The fine article recently posted on:
[uboat.net] does not describe its size, however. I'm
especially interested in the height of the cell.
In "Type VII U-boats" by Robert C. Stern, page 58, he states: "The combination of
hydrochloric acid and salt water led to the release of poisionous and corrosive
chlorine gas" (I know he meant sulphuric acid) ;-)) What does happen if hydrochloric acid comes in contact with salt water?
Curious,
ROBERT M.
