Hello Keith

As I am interesting in U-boat torpedos will try to help a little.
1. Body of torpedo was not painted at all, to avoid corrosion it was covered with grease so it looks like painted dark brown.
I can send you color scan of torpedo.
2. Warheads (bronze) were painted dark grey, except "Vierfach-Storch" device (T5), in early type listening device, that was used in T4 also in early T5 ("25-Storch"winking smiley, device was covered with plastic protection.
3. It is hard to say anything about torpedos coverage of U-534 were painted because after 50 years in salt water, acid from battereies etc... it is lottery to decide.
4. Colours of U-995 eels are not historical ones (they already repainted them a few times in different way)
5. For Robert van der Veen's new e-mail account please conntact me in private.
6. Fast identification markings were painted on ruder - red, however wider part of torpedo tail should be enough, there were also 2 green stripes in middle of body.
