A typical torpedo cutaway is show at [www.cyber-heritage.co.uk] and as you can see the safety/arming mechanism at the nose is a likely place for a bearing as it contains rotating parts.
Can you give more info on the context of your query, ie is it a reference from a text or a picture? That might help.
