A MK 14-3A torpedo weighs 3282 pounds X 4 = 13,128 pounds.
Divide that by 2000# and I get about 6.6 tons, right? I'm not figuring the "water-round-torpedo" either. Are my figures incorrect?
I can't find any weight of seawater in a forward torpedo tube (nor
the after longer tubes) in the Fleet Submarine Manual. I guess if I
remembered my math I could figure it out....... :-))
