Thanks, and most interesting. We have one story of firing a six shot salvo without apparently disturbing the CO's periscope observations in "Shinano," and the Ned Beach account expressing concern over a broach.

Perhaps the instantaneous moment between the fish leaving and the tube backfilling with water, is not as much of an issue as I thought.

Oh well, so much for the math.
