british asv radars

re weapons/technology british asv radars.i flew in hudsons of 269 sqdn based iceland.was involved in attacks on submarineson following dates.18/1/43-6/5/43-
17/5/43-21/5/43-8/6/43-15/8/43.a/c were fitted with dipole for tx and wing mounted aerials for rx.reason for this contribution is that allsightings were first on asv and contrary to info in article all were seen on asv at greater ranges than quoted apart from no 1.average altitude was abt 6000 ft.also could readily get returns from iceland glaciers at abt 80 miles.all subs dived prior to attack apart from last which had to remain on surface due to prior damage(we did
not sink it as it shot away bomb release gear as well as other damage)i think the gear worked better than suggested and this may be of some value
