Bathythermograph use in the Kriegsmarine

I am looking for any data concerning the use of bathythermographs by the Kriegsmarine. I already knew that the germans had it (Rudolf Lusar wrote it in the 60`s), but recently I came upon this:

see page 31. They were using it on a regular basis by 1944.
Anyone?
