<HTML>Hi, Everyone!
I had the privilege of serving on the SAS Simon van der Stel in 1970, in the South African Navy. She was originally HMS Whelp, and I believe that Prince Philip, now Duke of Edinburgh, was her "Jimmy" in the med during WWII. I would welcome any information about the vessel from anyone who may be interested, and will in turn answer any questions I can on the subject, although I am not an expert.
Best regards,
Garth</HTML>
