My father also served on HMS Sweetbriar, I believe from 1942 - 43. He was SubLt Douglas Barons and I believe his ship's knickname was "bashful". He passed away in 2009 but left us a record of his war memories, having spoken very little about them during his life. If you hasd any pictures of the crew, I would love to get a copy.
