Hi Tony, Rohwer states 're English Channel action'. The remaining operational boats of the 2nd and 6th Flotillas, S-174, S-176, S-177 and S-97, S-132 and S-135 did undertake op's, with some being torpedo carriers while the other carried the long range 'T3D Dakel' torpedoes for the first time on the nights 4/5 Aug (24), 5/6 Aug (12), 6/7 Aug (12), 8/9 Aug (10), 9/10 Aug (11) and 14/15 Aug (8), were fired at shipping in Seine Bay where the merchant Iddesleigh, the cruiser HMS Frobisher, HMS Albatross plus one minesweeper were damaged. In addition normal torpedo op's were carried out on 11/12 Aug and 13/14 Aug. Regards john
