I presume this must be the 'Leonora', 217 tons, built at Grimsby in 1904. She served as a patrol vessel 1914-1919 and was still around in 1939 to be hired by the Navy again on 27 November. She was initially fitted out as a patrol vessel but from June 1940 was employed as a tender for the Fleet Air Arm (no further detail). According to Lenton ("British & Empire Warships of WW2") she was returned to mercantile service in 1946. I can find no trace of any 'Leonora' being lost.
