Dear Mr Daughtrey,
Sorry to read that your father passed away as early as 1987.
My father in law is still living, aged 90. He served in H.M.S Pennyworth from May 1943 until June 1945, the same period as your father.
Pennyworth being a small ship it is very likely they knew each other.
They must have endured many experiences and hardships together.
Dad doe's not enjoy the the best of health now , mostly, mostly due to age but his mind is in good shape.
I would greatly appreciate it if you could send me some photo's of Pennyworth and her crew. I'm sure Dad would recognise at least some of his shipmates and what a surprise it would be if I could present some photo's to him, together with information of Pennyworth's service during the war, gleaned from the interent,perhaps in an album for Christmas.
