My father, Charles Swann Price, was also a survivor of Penylan. He ended up swimming all night before being picked up by HMS Pearl the following morning. Unfortunately my father died back in 1994. The last thing he remembers before a large explosion amidships was taking a cup of tea to the bridge watch keepers, so he was on deck at the time. This is probably why he survived.
