<HTML>Can anyone describe for me the finish on a Navy ship's bell during WWI? It's about 10" x 10", 16 lbs. I want to refinish it for my Dad, who served on the USS Rowe in WWII, but can't tell if it should be iron, painted, brass plated...??
If you can help, please send info ASAP.
