<HTML>Dear Elaine
HMS Hythe was a Bangor class minesweeping sloop.
Launched on 4 Sep 1941 (originally named Banff) pennant Number J.194. Lost 11 October 1943.
The Bangor class ships were built in 3 types depending on type of engines. The Hythe was part of the Turbine engined group.
Used mainly as merchant ship escorts and minesweepers.
Sorry I have no info on where she served.
Hope I was of some help?
regards Bill</HTML>
