I cannot find any particular action the Landguard was involved in, but can say that between October 1941 to September 1942 she was constantly involved in escorting convoys between Liverpool and Freetown (Sierra Leone); in all she covered ten convoys (five outbound; five inbound). It may therefore not have been for one specific action but for good work in the the constant stress of convoy escort duties.
