In Oct 1942 HMS Cowdray, took part in the rescue of the crew from HMS Curacao, which had been sliced in half by the Queen Mary. See The Curacao Disaster by David A thomas and Patrick Holmes. A captain I served under in peace time was a young Sub/Lt on HMS Cowdray at the time.
