Brief outline -
1939 - formed part of the 12th Destroyer Flotilla
April 1940 - Norway operations, escorting battleships Rodney & Valiant
June 1940 - attached 8th DF to escort Ark Royal from Scapa to Gibraltar; joins Force H (Ark Royal group)
July 1940 - Operation Catapult [attack on Mers el Kebir]
Aug 1940 - Operation Hurry [attack on Cagliari]
Sep 1940 - Operation Menace [attack on Dakar]
Oct 1940 - landings in French Cameroons.
July 1941 - part of Force P (Victorious/Furious group); attack on Kirkenes/Petsamo (Arctic)
June 1942 - operation Harpoon (convoy to Malta)
Jan 1943 - joined Escort Group B.3 at Greenock /escorted several Atlantic convoys during 1943
Sep 1943 - damaged when a 'Hedgehog' projectile exploded prematurely during an attack on a U-boat.
1944 - under repair
1945 - reduced to training duties
1947 - scrapped
