Brian, Am conscious of you time and effort. I am getting pretty much there particularly if anything comes up from ops records. 388! what an effort. Would 493 have been listed in Janes of the period? A veteran gave me photocopy from Lambert's book on Allied Coastal Forces and the photos in the minelaying section are from 493. He gives incorrectly maybe that she was ordered 27/8/41 completed 5/42 sold 1956.??? Also re yr previous message about dates. The 4 of them left Milford Sound for Med AUG '42. His tape did not seen to indicate his U-boat encounter was early, just sometime in his first 18mths of boreing patrol work off Algeria.

If for yr interest I can list our constructions let me know.There was some sort of overlap with Singapore as she was about to be taken. My published lists have yards and builders. Thanks and regards
