I was not in any sense critizing the fantastic effort of all allied veterans and the role of the USA> However Hollywood sometimes makes movies, for example "Saving Private Ryan" which makes it seem that only U.S. troops were at D-Day, whereas ther were actually more British and Canadian troops that landed on D-Day. So my comments were made at the movie industry. Most Candians are too shy to mention their service and there lies a lot of the problem.
All the vets, from all the allied nations were true heros, regardless of nation or service. In todays world where our leaders are looking for "heros" I can think of millions of men and women who fought for all of us--not overpaid sport people!ROBERT M. wrote:
