To my knowledge We Yanks never provided the RCN with any lend lease (Directly) some may have been provided from UK. The reverse may be closer as several Flower class Corvettes where provided to the USN Via reverse lend lease. RCN Escort groups bore the major burden of Convoy Escort with little time ,training and shore resources at first. Not only did she suffer from early British snobbery for being a Jr Service she had to endure constant interference from a Inserted American command element which provided little or no support and damed little Assets. She unfairly was characterised as being not quite up to the task by the RN in both equipment and personel,Despite being denied the latest in Radar and only grudgingly supplied with HF/DF. She none the less grew to become the 3rd largest Allied Navy and earn the respect and gratitude of her contemporaries. Surely the Battle of the Atlantic could not have been won with out the Sailors and Airman of the RCN and coastal command . As an American I love my country but even I recognize the great Debt that the free world owes our Canadian and other allies.
