Hi Roger, still won't let me send you a personal message, might be to do with the settings. Never mind.
I found a newspaper cutting amongst my dad's things, reporting the homecoming - its dated 13 march 1944. My dad would have been on the Forth & presumably was part of the "welcome committee" when Stubborn came home, which is why he kept the cutting. Plus it being a fascinating story, of course.
I'm afraid I don't know which paper its from, as the top of the page has been cut off (I don't think its the Times, as the type-face seems different). It shows a pic of all the crew. There is also a photo of Duff & one of the Narvik & Stubborn with some of the crew of the Forth in the foreground. I have tried to scan them but the quality is very poor.
Reading this thread has stimulated my interest & I'm managing to fill in a few of the gaps in my dad's account.
