My Father, Ralph Macquire, who sadly died in 2002, served on HMS Stubborn at the time of "the incident" in 1944! He must have been 21 years old and looking at 21 year old's now I wonder how they coped. I have some photographs in my possession and would be fascinated by the documentary that is being made. I believe he was probably known as Mac in those days. He always spoke of his days during the war with a twinkle in his eye as if Errol Flynn could have played him in the Movie! I have, somewhere, a booklet published during the war with stories about some of the more interesting naval incidences. The Stubborn is obviously included.
