My Grandfather, William Taylor Walton of York, also served on HMS Venomous from 16/12/1944 to 07/07/1945. He then went to HMS Constance.

He also had a scroll from the King of Norway for the Liberation. He told me that Venomous was the first Royal Navy ship in to liberate Norway.

My Grandather was the ships naffi Petty Officer.

Our Grandfathers may have served together.
