USS Bluefish SS-222 WWII

I am trying to find anyone who has heard of or remembers an incident in WWII when the USS Bluefish was submerged and rolled inverted and was subsequently recovered. The particular sailor that I understand was credited for righting the boat was a machinist mate named Howard Smith. If anyone can shed light on this story, I would appreciate hearing from you.
