My name is Gerren Ryan Rucker and my Grandfather was also a machinist mate on the Bluefish. His name was Raymond Rucker. I am sorry to say that Raymond passed away on the 1st of October at 8:30 PM. I wish now that i had got online to check what information there was available and to get in contact with crew, he was just always around if I wanted to know anything. I dont know any details about the subject in your message but I would like to get the word out among this community about his passing. The time that he spent aboard the Bluefish was the best in his life and his eyes would light up as he told us kids stories about ship life. I am sure that I have heard stories about your father as the engine room was very small and I am sure they worked together. Raymonds funeral is in Kingman, Az on Friday October, 9 @ Suttons Funeral Home. He was a great man and dedicated his entire life to the service of others and to his family. If anyone has any information or any stories about Raymond Rucker during his time aboard the Bluefish, my family and I would love to hear them. Thank You Gerren R Rucker
