The 9th Escort Group (HMCS MATANE (K.444), HMCS MONNOW (K.441), HMCS NENE (K.270), HMCA LOCH ALVIE (K.428) and HMCS ST. PIERRE (K.680)) was detached from Russian convoy duty on 18th May 1945 in order to escort fifteen surrendered U-boats from Norwegian waters to Scotland. Five surface vessels were also arrested - they were instructed to return to Trondheim, and included the King of Norway's private yacht, which had been commandeered on the invasion of Norway.

The escorts and surrendered U-boats arrived in Loch Eriboll on 18th May and left for Loch Alsh the following day. They arrived on the 20th, and then 9EG left for Londonderry.

My interest is in U-boats escorted from Norway to Scotland at the end of May or the beginning of June 1945, and in the Allied vessels that escorted them.
