Hello Simone,

Obviously they meant La Maddalena in Sardinia and must have made an error. I do not know the source of their information. Mine is the C. in C. Med War Diaries although usually very accurate, it does make occasional errors. As mentioned before the best source would probably be the minesweepers records.
