H.M.S. CALPE

As an ex-Aircrewman of the F.A.A. (1947-1971), now living in the town of CALPE
on the Costa Blanca of Spain and with interests within the local council, I should like to know, for the benefit of my fellow Calpinos, just why and where this vessel was so named ?
