I am a model maker and wish to confirm DM-29's Ms.22 or Ms.22 Revised color scheme from Dec.1944 through Feb.1946. DM-29 Left Pearl Harbor Des.44 the participated @ IWO JIMA, Okinawa, China and departed PTO Jan.17, 1946 arriving back in San Francisco, Feb.46. Photos show her @ IWO JIMA in Ms.22(problably painted @ Pearl before departing for IWO. Wiley built in Bethlehem Shipyard, Staten Is.,NY 1944 leaving with Ms.32/25d. Since she departed Pearl for IWO and photos show her @ IWO in Ms.22, presumption Pearl allow repaint. Buships memo date 20 Feb. 45 revises Ms.22 colors. Since Wiley was in action at this time and continued in action through end of 1945, did she have time/port to repaint per Ms.22 Revised?? Reading her DANFIS, it doesn't appear she did have time for repaint. See www.navsource.org "homeward bound" 1946 photo showing her still in either Ms.22 or Ms.22 Revised.

Please, please, can anybody help me on this matter?

Thanks much
Peter
