Hi,
I've found an old newspaper article which says Percy Brookes was on the HMS Louvain when it was torpedoed. Percy Brookes was my grandfather and died in 1971, so if he was on the boat which I've no reason to doubt, he was a survivor. In fact I do remember him telling me that he'd spent some time on the Greek islands after swimming to shore. I do have a picture of him in his petty officer's uniform.
I'd be really interested to find out any more about him and the ship.
