Simon,
A strong contender for this sinking could be UC56. The boat was possibly damaged by a US destroyer after laying this field and the resulting damage caused UC56 to seek internment in a Spanish port. For a boat which surivived an incredible amount of mystery surrounds this patrol.
Iwould be interested to see what the other members think.
