Evening Star Fishing boat sinking - Irish Sea 1917 (?)

As part of research into my family history, I'm looking for details of the sinking of the 'Evening star' fishing boat off the Isle of Man. My Great-Great Grandfather Richard Lee was one of the crew.

I've been told by family it was 17 miles of Maughold Head on the Isle of Man in 1917. The crew of the Evening Star were captured by the U-Boat, but were set free off Milford Haven.

Can anyone shed any light on this event, or even better some reference to it?

Many thanks

Richard
