Attack on SS Kul

I am investigating an unsuccessful U-boat attack on the SS Kul on the 29th March 1918. She was enroute from Swansea to Rouen (or vice versa. not sure which). Can anyone shed any light on which U-boat carried out the attack and where. I believe that there is a possibility that it may have taken place around the Pendeen, Lands End, or Lizard areas. Any info most welcome.
