Hi all,
acutally no R-class sub ever fired an torpedo in anger.
Just an handful of them saw patrol-service at the end of WW 1 and only R 7 was able to made contact on an german U-boat !
This happend on the morning of 11.10.1918 to the west of the Isle of Man.
R 7 (Lt. Anthony B. Lockart) was only able to close within 2500 y until the U-boat changed course from South to West and was lost of sight.
That's all !
