And looking at this some more, the original classification of this attack against a submerged submarine at 52°N, 2°36'E was as "probably seriously damaged" which was later changed to "known sunk" with the U-boat sunk being UC 1.
Of course, it's extremely difficult to get UC 1 to that location on that date to be bombed. The location could, however, easily work for an attack against the somewhat larger UB 27, which sailed on July 22 and did not return. You could read the attack as either damaging UB 27 or sinking the boat as the usual sinking attribution for it on the 29th is not particularly strong with patrol length issues.
There were a couple of other UBIIs at sea on that date; let me check some documents.
