ahh, HEALDTON, o. k.

Well...

Patrols off Terschelling = VIII. and IX. Flotilla (Yarmouth, Harwich).

For that period:

E 43 was out from Harwich 15. - 22.03.17 to 54°00'N-03°30'E
V 4 was out from Yarmouth 19. - 25.03.17 to 54°30'N-03°30'E

E 42 was out from Harwich 21. - 28.03.17 to 53°10'N-05°00'E
E 55 was out from Harwich 21. - 28.03.17 to 53°30'N-04°30'E

Dates given mean (f.e. E 43): left Harwich on 15.03. and 22.03. p.m. started return journey to Harwich.

So, E 42 and E 55 just left Harwich on 21st (time ?), but MAY have been near Terschelling on the evening that day !?

The information given above is from
ADM 137/505 "Operations of 8th and 9th Flotillas, 1917"

that's Reports from Comm (S) to higher command, all 4 submarines reported nothing special !!!

But you should have a look into

ADM 137/2071 Comm (S) War Records, Maidstone 01.1917 - 06.1917

Will include the original report of proceedings from the submarines to Comm (S) which are more detailed than ADM 137/505.

You should also check the individual logbooks (to be sure):

E 42 is ADM 173/1652
E 43 is ADM 173/1684
E 55 is ADM 173/2045
V 4 is ADM 173/13185
