I doubt that dutch submarines did go far out like that (25 miles off Terschelling), also within an area wellknown as mined... ?

With regard to the additional sources:
I'm fairly sure that if the british submariners had sighted anything like an ship blowing up on an minefield, this would also have been reported in the file I have already seen (ADM 137/505), but the others you should check, because they MIGHT contain information such as "distant explosion heard", "a blaze seen to the east" or something like that, not neccessarely worth mentioning in the official report...

It's just ordering 5 documents and have an quick look :-)
