Hi All,

Can someone help on the above named commander?

The Conning Tower section has him as being in command of U 48 upto 9.3.17. but gives no date of death for him.

Ehrenranglist der Kaiserliche Deutschen Marine lists him as: "9.3.1917 Englischer Kanal m. U 48"

I know the last commander of U 48 was Kptlt Karl Edeling who was killed when she was caught, stranded, on the Goodwin Sands on 24.11.17.

As usual, any and all help will be gratefully appreciated.
