Hi Mike,
I'm still chasing any info on my G/Dad 3rd Engineer Thomas Edward Lunt, one of the only 7 survivors from the S.S.Sagamore. He was one of the 5 that had their feet amputated on arrival in Capetown after landing from the S.S.Deucalion. I have quite a bit of stuf mostly about my G/Dad but you are welcome to it all. Some is about the ship.I have photos of the Sagamore its the right one as there were about 4 ships in that era with the same name.U-Boat Net really is a terrific site. And they are so helpful. at the moment I am hopefully waiting on a copy of the Log Book page written on the day they rescued the 17 in the one lifeboat that remained. When the Deucalion spotted them on the 12th March 1917. There were only 7 still alive.Have heard from a chap in Holland who had a relation on board as well. That was only a couple of weeks ago.Am also waiting to hear from the National Archives but that will be at least a month away. Its nice to hear from you and just by chance I was having a look at U-boat Net.As I had a bit of trouble connecting a while ago. Think I was having a senior moment.Very Best Regards Ken Berry
