I am looking for information on the SS Dunelm (Canadian Registration Number C123069. The Dunelm was built at Sunderland, U. K., 1907. she was 250 x 43 x 27 and 2,319 tons).
The Dunelm, commanded by Baxter Barbour, left Canada on Oct 15, 1915 going to Manchester, England with a load of iron. She was last heard from on Oct 17, 1915. It is possible that the ship sank in a storm but I would like to determine if it was in fact sunk by a u-boat.
I am sure the Germans kept a list of all the ships that were sunk by each u-boat, and was wondering how I could check to see if the SS Dunelm was recorded there.
Regards
