For information, my parents bought GY 568 in 1989. It had already been converted in to a houseboat. We moved onboard and stayed in Grimsby docks for a year when I was 12. GY 568 was named Scarthoe when we bought her, and the local story was that some prisoners of war had taken her in Denmark in WWII and sailed her over... I was never sure about that story though. Anyway, after the year in Grimsby we took her to Goole for a couple of years before making our way to North Shields. The boat was sold around 1998/99 (I'd left to join the Army at 17 so I'm not wholly sure) and the last I heard she was running loch charters up in Scotland. Feel free to drop me a line, I probably won't find this site again.
