Hello Good and welcome to both forums,

"The UBboat departed Varna on 27 September 1916 for operations off Sevasopol and
was never heard from again." Verschollen, Messimer page 131. The commander was
Oberleutnant zur See Lutjohann.

On the biographical page for Lutjohann, it does have two different dates for his
death. August 31, 1916 is definately incorrect and no one knows the exact date
of the demise of UB7. All we know is that UB7 sailed on 27 Sept '16.
